
Barb STEAMCon returns this year and will be hosted at Mitchell Elementary School, 1240 Normal Rd., on Saturday, March 14, 2026, which also happens to be Pi Day! Barb STEAMCon is a student-led conference aimed at helping students develop leadership and presentation skills while sharing their knowledge with others. It provides a platform for students passionate about STEAM to connect, collaborate, and learn from their peers.
The event fosters a supportive environment where students can deepen their understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics while inspiring one another to grow.
It is open to students in grades 3-8 on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 8:15 am to 12:00 pm at Mitchell Elementary School, 1240 Normal Rd., DeKalb, Illinois. Along with educators from the district and other community partners, students are also encouraged to present as part of the conference.
Parents/Guardians are encouraged to fill out the Registration Form to sign their student up to participate in Barb STEAMCon 2026. Registration closes Friday, Feb. 13 to allow time to order necessary supplies for participants.
